As the sun set over Williamstown, a group from the Williamstown Camera Club set out to explore the waterfront through the lens of long-exposure photography. Framed by historic maritime landmarks, moored vessels, and the distant glow of Melbourne’s industrial port, the night revealed a different character of this bayside suburb. Reflections shimmered across still water, photographers gathered beneath the lights of Gem Pier, and the illuminated outlines of boats and harbour infrastructure created striking contrasts against the dark sky. These images capture both the atmosphere of Williamstown at night and the shared experience of photographers discovering beauty in familiar places after dark.
